"This federal funding is going to help the Eugene O’Neill Theater and the other local venues we love to hit the ground running this summer after a tough year, and it’s another example of why I voted to pass the American Rescue Plan," Courtney said.

“We’re seeing over and over again how the American Rescue Plan is targeted at our local recovery in eastern Connecticut, and it’s great to see support coming home to assist the historic Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam,” Rep. Courtney said.

“The Danielson Airport is a major economic driver for the Town of Killingly, the Quiet Corner and our entire region, and this American Rescue Plan relief funding is going to help it stay that way,” said Rep. Courtney.

“The INVEST in America Act would provide our state with the funding we need to complete some of our biggest and most important infrastructure priorities, creating jobs and giving a boost to every single family and business entity that uses our highways and bridges," said Rep. Courtney.

“Our region’s economy can’t operate at full strength without our local airports, and in eastern Connecticut we’ve got local airports from the Quiet Corner to the shoreline that are responsible for moving thousands of passengers, and millions of dollars’ worth of goods around the country each year,” said Rep. Courtney.

“America is going to lean heavily on the work of our U.S. Navy as our national security priorities pivot towards the Indo-Pacific and the Arctic, which will require a higher rate of submarine deployments at a time where public shipyards are facing huge backlogs, requiring private yards to fill the breach,” said Chairman Courtney.

“As you work to develop the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, we write to request your full support of the President’s budget request of $17.5 million in Army National Guard Military Construction funds for a new Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG) Readiness Center in the town of Putnam, Connecticut,” wrote Congressman Courtney.

"I am honored to be designated as a member of the bipartisan Board of Visitors for the Coast Guard Academy, and I’m looking forward to joining President Biden tomorrow as we celebrate and congratulate these hardworking young Americans on their achievements," Courtney said.
