“As you work to develop the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, we write to request your full support of the President’s budget request of $17.5 million in Army National Guard Military Construction funds for a new Connecticut Army National Guard (CTARNG) Readiness Center in the town of Putnam, Connecticut,” wrote Congressman Courtney.

"I am honored to be designated as a member of the bipartisan Board of Visitors for the Coast Guard Academy, and I’m looking forward to joining President Biden tomorrow as we celebrate and congratulate these hardworking young Americans on their achievements," Courtney said.

"Thank you to Congressman Courtney for his work to support our nurses and health care workers during and long before COVID-19, and for this chance to join him to watch President Biden’s first State of the Union address tomorrow evening," said Sherri Dayton, RN.

“No amount of money is going to heal the loss of a family member, or a loved one. But this new relief program will help ease the financial strain of so many American families who have suffered so much during the past year," Courtney said.

“As the Biden Administration sets course on a new era of carbon-free energy production, eastern Connecticut is extremely well-positioned to take advantage of the growing, permanent opportunities in the offshore wind energy sector,” said Congressman Courtney.

“Two weeks ago when the American Rescue Plan was signed into law, the most important provision was funding to accelerate COVID vaccinations,” said Congressman Courtney.

“We need a comprehensive response to power our economic recovery, and the American Rescue Plan gets help where it’s needed most right now," said Courtney.

“We had over 4,000 folks in eastern Connecticut join us on last night’s town hall, and there’s no question that people have been waiting for the support that the American Rescue Plan provides,” Courtney said.
