NORWICH, CT – Yesterday, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) visited two small businesses in northeastern Connecticut, Two Dogs Coffee in Danielson and Sadie’s Sweet Shop in Putnam, to discuss the increased costs they are facing and how they have been worsened by President Trump’s tariff policies. Courtney was accompanied by Elle-Jordyn Sherman, Executive Director of the Northeastern CT Chamber of Commerce, and Ms.

NORWICH, CT – This week, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) voted to pass a government funding package (H.R. 7148) which includes over $9.6 million for 10 Community Projects in Connecticut’s Second District. In January, the House and Senate passed over $2.6 million for four more Community Projects in the Second District. In November, the House and Senate passed $1 million for one Community Project in North Stonington. Funding for all 15 Community Projects have now been signed into law.

NORWICH, CT – Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02), Ranking Member of the House Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee, released the following statement on the delivery of the USS District of Columbia’s bow to Electric Boat’s South Yard assembly building in Groton, CT, where final assembly of the boat will occur. The USS District of Columbia (SSBN 826) is the lead boat in the new Columbia-class fleet of ballistic missile submarines. Columbia-class submarines will weigh 21,000 tons – 2½ times the size of Virginia-class submarines.
