“It is with the greatest of sadness that the State of Connecticut learned today of the passing of a selfless public servant and great person, State Representative Linda Orange. Linda was an outstanding legislator, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity as a former member of our State Legislature to watch her first foray into public service when she clerked for the Human Services Committee in the General Assembly, which I chaired at the time."

“The abandonment of Minor League clubs by Major League Baseball would devastate our communities, their bond purchasers, and other stakeholders affected by the potential loss of these clubs."

“Linda’s decision today to resign her seat effective February 1 is another example of her selfless leadership and commitment to a district that she has represented so well over the last fifteen years."

“The Town of Killingly and Town Manager Mary Calorio deserve major congratulations for identifying this federal funding opportunity, and for putting together a successful grant application to win this highly competitive award – one of only two Housing Preservation Grant awards made in our entire state during this round of funding,” said Congressman Courtney.

“After having worked to pass robust funding for the LWCF here in the House this year, and after having secured continued federal support for our Eightmile River and The Last Green Valley, I’m particularly glad to announce this new round of federal investment in eastern Connecticut’s natural heritage,” said Congressman Courtney.

“Violence and threats have no place in the public square, our state, or our nation,” said Congressman Courtney.
