Rep. Courtney 2020 Mid-Year Legislative Update
In the first half of 2020, my office helped families, workers, small businesses and more get the suppor they need during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I've continued to work across the aisle in Congress to advance legislation that's important to eastern Connecticut. We've continued to see a major surge in our manufacturing workforce, pushed forward several important priorities for our veterans, welcomed home over $15.9 million in new federal funding and contracting, and much more. I've also kept in close communication with people in our region through 6 telephone town halls, over 70 video meetings with eastern Connecticut chambers of commerce, farmers, school superintendents, and many others.
Serving the folks back home has always been my number one priority, and it always will be. It's been a busy first half of the year, and there's more work ahead.
