WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Congressman Joe Courtney, Ranking Member of the House Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee, voted to pass the final FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act.

Evans Act, a bipartisan effort to ensure that the names of 74 sailors who tragically lost their lives aboard the USS Frank E. Evans during the Vietnam War are added to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.
