WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) and Congressman John B. Larson (CT-01) introduced the Tax Assistance for Crumbling Foundations Act, a bill that would provide new support to Connecticut homeowners impacted by the crumbling foundations crisis. Courtney and Larson's bill would provide significant federal tax assistance to homeowners with crumbling foundations by restoring and extending the federal casualty loss tax deduction for crumbling foundations repair costs.

Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) was again selected to lead the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces as Chairman in the 117^th Congress. Courtney was named Chairman this afternoon at the Democratic organizing caucus for the House Armed Services Committee. Rep. Courtney has been a member on the panel since he was a freshman in Congress in 2007, and completed his first term as its Chairman in the 116^th Congress.

John Larson (CT-01), Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), Jim Himes (CT-04) and Jahana Hayes (CT-05), announced that Connecticut fishermen have officially secured an increase in commercial harvest quota allocations for black sea bass. Today's announcement comes following the Connecticut Congressional delegation's recent outreach to the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (MAFMC) and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Council (ASMFC) in support of Connecticut's fishermen.
