“Tonight’s final vote by Electoral College members from across the U.S. confirms, as mandated by the U.S. Constitution, that Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States,” said Courtney.

“Communities in eastern Connecticut are facing a collision of epidemics right now,” said Congressman Courtney.

“There has been spectacular progress made in the effort to develop a vaccine against COVID-19, but we need to make sure our supply chain is ready to deploy a vaccine immediately. If we don’t have the support network to help distribute vaccines across the country, or to ramp up production of critical PPE and hospital supplies, then we’re not going to be ready,” said Rep. Courtney.

“Today, the House voted to seal the deal. The final negotiated version of the 2021 NDAA includes the Seapower Subcommittee’s year-long effort to buck the Trump Budget and fully restore construction of the second Virginia-class submarine.."

“2020 has been an extremely difficult year for K-12 public education. The Impact Aid Coronavirus Relief Act will provide much needed stability for school districts which have unique student populations,” said Rep. Courtney.
