"The Protecting Our Kids Act would keep assault-style rifles out of the hands of teenagers, require safe storage of firearms on residential premises if children or other vulnerable people are in the household, crack down on untraceable ‘ghost guns’, and enact the same sort of responsible storage measures we’ve already implemented here in Connecticut. I was proud to help pass this bill in the House, and I implore my Senate colleagues to join us in finding a way forward,” said Rep. Courtney.

"First, the mark recommends sustaining the two-per-year cadence for Virginia-class submarine construction, keeps the Columbia program continuing pace, and makes critical investments to strengthen the submarine industrial base and workforce development efforts."

“You couldn’t find a community more passionate about securing this economic priority than Enfield, and it took every ounce of that passion to finally bring home this major award," Rep. Courtney said.

"I am concerned with the increasing age of our tactical airlift fleet, combined with numerous readiness challenges, that pose serious risks to our ability to meet key warfighting requirements."
