Joe Courtney (CT-02) joined Connecticut VA Health Care System Director Alfred Montoya at the New London VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) to tour operations and visit with veterans as the clinic administered its first COVID-19 vaccinations. Courtney and Director Montoya also discussed the VA's ongoing efforts to quickly distribute COVID-19 vaccines to eastern Connecticut veterans.

Larson (CT-01) introduced the Tax Assistance for Crumbling Foundations Act, a bill that would provide new support to Connecticut homeowners impacted by the crumbling foundations crisis. Courtney and Larson's bill would provide significant federal tax assistance to homeowners with crumbling foundations by restoring and extending the federal casualty loss tax deduction for crumbling foundations repair costs.
Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) was again selected to lead the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces as Chairman in the 117th Congress. Courtney was named Chairman this afternoon at the Democratic organizing caucus for the House Armed Services Committee. Rep. Courtney has been a member on the panel since he was a freshman in Congress in 2007, and completed his first term as its Chairman in the 116th Congress.
