“We’re seeing over and over again how the American Rescue Plan is targeted at our local recovery in eastern Connecticut, and it’s great to see support coming home to assist the historic Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam,” Rep. Courtney said.

“The Danielson Airport is a major economic driver for the Town of Killingly, the Quiet Corner and our entire region, and this American Rescue Plan relief funding is going to help it stay that way,” said Rep. Courtney.

“The INVEST in America Act would provide our state with the funding we need to complete some of our biggest and most important infrastructure priorities, creating jobs and giving a boost to every single family and business entity that uses our highways and bridges," said Rep. Courtney.

“The Subcommittee’s support for submarine construction in this funding bill is another endorsement of President Biden’s clear-eyed and forward-thinking defense priorities,” said Congressman Courtney.

“As the Representative for eastern Connecticut, which is home to more active-duty servicemembers and veterans than anywhere else in the state, it means a great deal to me to have the support of organizations like the IAVA, the VFW, the Military Officers Association and so many others,” said Congressman Courtney.

“We owe a great debt to local Afghan translators and their families who took up common cause with America, worked alongside our troops, and helped keep them safe,” said Congressman Courtney.

“We recognize the impact that the pandemic had on our borrowers,” said Secretary Cardona, in response to Rep. Courtney, “and extending the pause is something that we have had conversations about."
