WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) joined the Connecticut Congressional Delegation in helping announce $332.5 million awarded to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) through the American Rescue Plan Act (H.R. 1319). The funding is part of the Rescue Plan's authorization to provide relief for public transportation systems nationwide, and to help offset local budget shortfalls so that transit agencies can retain employees and maintain service as communities continue to recover from COVID-19.

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02) voted to pass the Guard and Reserve G.I. Bill Parity Act (H.R. 1836), which takes a strong step toward ensuring equal access to G.I. benefits.  The bill would ensure that members of the National Guard and Reserve, who often serve side-by-side with their Active-Duty counterparts yet do not currently receive the same access to vital G.I. Bill benefits, are honored with the benefits they have earned and deserve.
