WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) voted to pass H.R. 6833, the Continuing Appropriations and Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act (CR). The bill provides stop-gap funding that will avoid a government shutdown, and will keep federal programs operating through December 16, 2022 as Congress works to finalize the FY 2023 budget.
The Inflation Reduction Act includes provisions that will lower kitchen table costs for families, advance clean energy production and manufacturing in the U.S., and help create millions of good-paying jobs while lowering carbon emissions. WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) and the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) (H.R. 7776). The bill would authorize and fund the construction of local projects across the U.S. in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and includes authorizations that would make other projects eligible for future funding. These projects are essential to everything from preserving and growing local economies, to protecting our environment, to maintaining quality of life.
