"This federal funding is going to help the Eugene O’Neill Theater and the other local venues we love to hit the ground running this summer after a tough year, and it’s another example of why I voted to pass the American Rescue Plan," Courtney said.

“We’re seeing over and over again how the American Rescue Plan is targeted at our local recovery in eastern Connecticut, and it’s great to see support coming home to assist the historic Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam,” Rep. Courtney said.

“The INVEST in America Act would provide our state with the funding we need to complete some of our biggest and most important infrastructure priorities, creating jobs and giving a boost to every single family and business entity that uses our highways and bridges," said Rep. Courtney.

“America is going to lean heavily on the work of our U.S. Navy as our national security priorities pivot towards the Indo-Pacific and the Arctic, which will require a higher rate of submarine deployments at a time where public shipyards are facing huge backlogs, requiring private yards to fill the breach,” said Chairman Courtney.

“President Biden’s clear-eyed address tonight leaves no doubt that he is determined to deliver real results for the American people,” said Congressman Courtney.

“Congress needs to work together to keep the economic recovery going, and the bipartisan SAFE Banking Act would help farmers and small businesses in eastern Connecticut finally access the financial services they need to operate competitively,” said Congressman Courtney.

“There’s a lot more work ahead to help our farmers and fishermen to get back above water and recover from this pandemic, but this announcement from the Biden Administration that next shot in the arm we’ve all been waiting on,” said Rep. Courtney.
