WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) released the following statement in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress:
“I attended today’s Joint Address by Prime Minister Netanyahu, because my unyielding support for the partnership between the United States and the State of Israel trumps the misguided, partisan process which led to today’s speech. Nonetheless, the friendship and alliance between the United States and Israel transcends political parties and partisan political gamesmanship.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman. This is my first public hearing as ranking member, and I am looking forward to working with you and our colleagues on the panel to continue the bipartisan and hands-on tradition of this subcommittee.
In addition to welcoming our returning members back to the subcommittee, I would like to highlight three new members on our side of the aisle who I think will make excellent contributions to our work this session: Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, Gwen Graham of Florida, and Seth Moulton of Massachusetts.

The bill, negotiated between the House and Senate after passage of the House version of the NDAA in May, will now go to the Senate floor for approval.
WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) issued the following statement after reports of alleged criminal activity aboard the USS Wyoming, an Ohio Class submarine homeported at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. The Navy is currently investigating allegations that a male sailor videotaped women officers in a shower area of the ship.
“I am very distributed by these reports. The women and men of the submarine force deserve better from their fellow sailors. I am confident the Navy will fully investigate these allegations and hold anyone involved fully accountable.
