Defense & National Security
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Joe Courtney (CT-02), Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, joined Rep. Jason Crowe (CO-06) and 56 other Members of Congress in writing to President Trump to warn that his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northeastern Syria in advance of a known Turkish military operation puts U.S. allies in danger, and harms ongoing counter-ISIS efforts.
In their letter to the President, the Members wrote:
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02), Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, was today appointed to the conference committee for the FY2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which authorizes expenditures for the Department of Defense for the upcoming fiscal year 2020.
