WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) issued the following statement to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Miracle League Field of Northern Connecticut—a project made possible in part by a $175,000 federal grant from the American Rescue Plan.  The Office of Congressman Courtney presented the Miracle League Field of Northern Connecticut with a U.S. flag during today’s ribbon cutting ceremony.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Air National Guard and the U.S. Air Force selected Connecticut’s 103rd Airlift Wing based at Bradley Air National Guard Base as one of four units to receive a squadron of eight C-130J aircraft. The new aircraft will replace the unit’s current inventory of C-130H aircraft.

VERNON — With more of their students facing psychiatric hospitalizations, public school teachers and administrators are keenly aware of the need for increased mental health support in the school system.

U.S. Rep. Joseph Courtney, D-2nd District, visited Vernon Center Middle School to offer some assistance. The Congressman was on hand Tuesday to tout the $323,000 in federal grants over the next three years to help hire more mental health specialists, such as social workers.
