WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) issued the following statement after reports of alleged criminal activity aboard the USS Wyoming, an Ohio Class submarine homeported at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. The Navy is currently investigating allegations that a male sailor videotaped women officers in a shower area of the ship.

Norwich, CT—Yesterday, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) met with Darrell Stark, age 92, of Stafford Springs to learn about Mr. Stark’s recent trip to Japan. Mr. Stark and six other former prisoners of war of Japan during World War II made the journey as guests of the Japanese government to revisit and reconcile with their past.

WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday evening, Congressman Joe Courtney donated blood at the Red Cross donation center in Norwich (photo attached). As news of Ebola causes anxiety for U.S. residents, donating blood and getting vaccinated against the flu will help local health systems better prepare for emergencies of all kinds. Courtney has scheduled his flu shot for Monday in Vernon.
