The House passed the tax credit extension bill (H.R. 1834) by a vote of 230-196. On January 1st, 2026, the Affordable Care Act tax credits expired, leading to significant premium increases for millions of Americans, including an estimated 22,000 residents in Connecticut’s Second Congressional District, according to Access Health CT.
