"Our troops and their families deserve the full benefit of student loan forgiveness that they’ve earned while serving overseas, and this bill will help them get it," said Rep. Courtney.

“Today’s jobs numbers should be a wake-up call to a lot of armchair economic experts that even though our recovery is moving forward, we’ve still got big challenges to overcome, and people still need support,” said Congressman Courtney.

“The American Rescue Plan is continuing to fuel eastern Connecticut’s economic recovery, and it’s going to help our schools stay open and get kids back on track as we move ahead,” said Congressman Courtney.

“Norwich Free Academy and Woodstock Academy are where thousands of kids in our region go to learn each day, and it’s great to see them getting the support the need through the American Rescue Plan,” said Congressman Courtney.

"The American Rescue Plan will put more resources in the toolboxes of our local schools so that teachers and students can return to class safely," said Courtney.

"We secured a victory for our public schools last year when our bipartisan Impact Aid Coronavirus Relief Act was signed into law, and this year I’m excited to join Congressman Newhouse to lead the Impact Aid Coalition, and to keep pressing this important work forward," said Rep. Courtney.

"We’ve still got millions waiting for vaccines, our schools need more resources to stay open safely, and families and local businesses are fighting hard just to stay solvent. We’ve got to kick it into higher gear," said Rep. Courtney.
