“I wanted to share with the Chamber the latest statistics form the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Health and Human Services regarding infection rates and vaccination rates in the country,” Rep. Courtney began on Thursday.

“The American Rescue Plan has helped thousands of eastern Connecticut families, it’s helped local businesses reopen their doors, and it kicked our vaccination effort into high-gear,” said Congressman Courtney. 

“United Services is extremely excited to bring a much-needed expansion to crisis services for northeastern Connecticut,” said United Services President/CEO Diane L. Manning. “We believe this program can save lives and we are grateful for the support of SAMHSA and Congressman Joe Courtney.”

“Today is great news for the many workers in eastern Connecticut who rely on both Shore Line East and Amtrak trains to get to work every day—connecting them back with their jobs and livelihoods is another important step in our recovery,” said Rep. Courtney.

“Congratulations to all the students and teachers at Thames River Magnate School on the hard work and dedication that it took to earn this national recognition today."

“The Build Back Better plan is an example of how Congress can work to deliver on behalf of real American workers and families,” said Congressman Courtney.
