“United Services is extremely excited to bring a much-needed expansion to crisis services for northeastern Connecticut,” said United Services President/CEO Diane L. Manning. “We believe this program can save lives and we are grateful for the support of SAMHSA and Congressman Joe Courtney.”

“The new Pandemic Market Volatility Assistance Program is going to put relief straight into the pockets of eastern Connecticut dairy farmers to help make up for the steep drop-off in milk prices they saw in late 2020," said Courtney.

“It’s a smart move," said Courtney, "a wave of pandemic-driven evictions just as we’re working to respond to the delta variant would really slow down our strong recovery."

“This new American Rescue Plan relief funding is going to help the Mystic Aquarium hit the ground running as they get back on their feet after a tough year,” said Rep. Courtney.

"This federal funding is going to help the Eugene O’Neill Theater and the other local venues we love to hit the ground running this summer after a tough year, and it’s another example of why I voted to pass the American Rescue Plan," Courtney said.

“We’re seeing over and over again how the American Rescue Plan is targeted at our local recovery in eastern Connecticut, and it’s great to see support coming home to assist the historic Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam,” Rep. Courtney said.

“Our region’s economy can’t operate at full strength without our local airports, and in eastern Connecticut we’ve got local airports from the Quiet Corner to the shoreline that are responsible for moving thousands of passengers, and millions of dollars’ worth of goods around the country each year,” said Rep. Courtney.
