Rep. Courtney Statement on Trump Halting Aid to Ukraine

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02), a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee issued the following statement on President Trump’s decision to freeze all U.S. military aid to Ukraine. 

“Unless Putin 'pauses' drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, there is no justification for President Trump to pause military aid to Ukraine and defy the intent of Congress that voted last year to send aid to the brave people of Ukraine who are defending their freedom and homeland. 

“President Trump’s 'pause' is capitulation to Putin’s illegal, unprovoked invasion”
