Rep. Courtney Statement on Robert Mueller’s Agreement to Testify Before the House of Representatives
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) issued the following statement after former Special Counsel Robert Mueller agreed to come to Congress to testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on July 17:
"Former Special Robert Mueller's agreement to testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees is representative of the continued good work of the Committees, and of Chairman Nadler and Chairman Schiff."
Congressman Courtney first called for former Special Counsel Mueller to testify before Congress immediately following Attorney General William Barr's initial press conference on the Mueller Report on April 18, stating that Mueller's testimony before Congress is "clearly the only way that we will be able to determine Mueller's true analysis of the report, its findings, and its conclusions."
