Rep. Courtney Releases Quick Reference Guide for Infrastructure Law Implementation

February 2, 2022

Washington, DC – Congressman Joe Courtney today released a quick reference guide compiled by his office aimed at ensuring that local and regional stakeholders in the second district have up to date information about the resources and support available through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

"The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a once-in-a-generation investment in the roads, bridges, transit, rail, ports, and water infrastructure that make our communities run, grow, and thrive," Courtney said. "Now that Congress has passed and President Biden has signed the IIJA into law, communities in Connecticut can take advantage of the historic federal funding available to achieve local priorities. This guide is a helpful way to understand what is available through the new law – and what our local, state and regional partners need to do to get ready to ensure that the IIJA is put to good use right here in eastern Connecticut."

The guide is available at Courtney.house.gov/IIJA. Courtney's guide, along with other information and resources, will be updated regularly as the IIJA is implemented by the Biden Administration, Connecticut State agencies and other stakeholders.

In addition, the Biden Administration on Monday released a more extensive guidebook detailing existing and new programs supported by the IIJA, as well as updates on implementation and application timing. That resource can be found at https://www.whitehouse.gov/build/.
