Rep. Courtney Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of Miracle League Field of Northern CT
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) issued the following statement to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Miracle League Field of Northern Connecticut—a project made possible in part by a $175,000 federal grant from the American Rescue Plan. The Office of Congressman Courtney presented the Miracle League Field of Northern Connecticut with a U.S. flag during today’s ribbon cutting ceremony.
“Congratulations to the Town of Vernon for the opening of Miracle League Field of Northern Connecticut—a crown jewel of recreation and opportunity for children and visitors of all abilities. Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony is the culmination of hard work and the persistence of grassroot organizers, town officials, and Steve Leibowitz, the president of Miracle Field, and his team. I am pleased that a $175,000 federal American Rescue Plan grant could help make this project a reality and look forward to enjoying the field alongside eastern Connecticut residents for years to come.”
