Rep. Courtney Applauds President Biden for Approving Connecticut Emergency Declaration

NORWICH, CT – Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-02) issued the following statement after President Biden approved an emergency disaster declaration yesterday for Connecticut.  

“I applaud President Biden’s swift action in approving a disaster declaration for Connecticut stemming from the rain and flooding earlier this week. Federal and state partners will now be able to facilitate assistance for homeowners and small businesses that suffered damages due to the weather.  

“This emergency aid is particularly important in eastern Connecticut which bore the brunt of flooding and property damage. As always, my office stands ready to connect communities to resources and help them rebuild.”
