Friday: Courtney to convene experts at UConn to discuss cybersecurity
Norwich, CT—On Friday, October 16th, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) will convene a panel discussion on cybersecurity for Connecticut businesses at the University of Connecticut. The discussion will feature academic and business experts, focusing on both best practices to protect sensitive data for Connecticut businesses, and career opportunities in cybersecurity for Connecticut students.
“In the wake of high-profile data breaches that have exposed the personal information of millions of Americans, consumers and businesses are increasingly focused on securing their data against cyber intrusions and identity theft. I am convening this panel to highlight some of the cutting-edge work happening at UConn’s center of excellence, as well as to inform area businesses of steps they can take to protect their information,” Courtney said.
