Courtney invites eastern Connecticut job seekers to participate in June 13 career fair in Norwich
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Joe Courtney today invited eastern Connecticut job seekers to participate in the career fair he is hosting on Wednesday, June 13, at the Norwich Holiday Inn between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Norwich career fair is the third such fair Courtney is hosting this year; it is being co-hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, The Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) and CT Works.

This week, Norwich Public Utilities announced that it is hiring, and signed on as the 25th business to attend the career fair. In addition to meeting with businesses, attendees will also be able to get professional assistance with resumes and talk with representatives of local community colleges about job re-training and skill sharpening.
Congressman Courtney will provide job seekers and businesses with information on veterans hiring tax credits and federal resources, and staff from his office will be available to help constituents with casework requests.
