Courtney Congratulates Trussler on Selection to Lead New Groton Command

WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) released the following statement congratulating U.S. Navy Captain Jeffrey Trussler on his appointment to command the Undersea Warfighting Development Center recently established at SUBASE New London:

“I congratulate Captain Jeffrey Trussler on his selection to head the Undersea Warfighting Development Center at SUBASE New London, and his impending promotion to Rear Admiral. This new command will play a crucial role in the training and tactics utilized by our submarine fleet, and is a major investment in the base and surrounding community. I look forward to working with Captain Trussler in his new role in Groton.”

Captain Trussler’s assignment to the Undersea Warfighting Development Center was announced today by Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert. Trussler currently serves as Deputy Director of Analysis and Requirements, in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, D.C.
