Courtney Congratulates Blumenthal on Subcommittee Chairmanship

WASHINGTON—Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) released the following statement congratulating Connecticut senior Senator Richard Blumenthal on his new chairmanship of the Senate Armed Services Airland Subcommittee:

“As chairman of the Airland Subcommittee, Senator Blumenthal will assume the mantle of leadership that Senator Joe Lieberman carried for thirteen years on this critically important panel, helping to support thousands of good manufacturing jobs in our state. I know Senator Blumenthal will use this chairmanship to improve our nation’s military capabilities, and to further secure Connecticut’s leading role in the aerospace industry for many years to come.
