Courtney Announces $152 Million Contract to Electric Boat

WASHINGTON-- Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) announced a $152 million Navy contract modification to Electric Boat, which will support development studies and design efforts for Virginia class submarines:

"This investment shows that even in times of fiscal uncertainty, the work that Electric Boat employees are doing each day remains absolutely crucial to the strength of our submarine fleet and our national security. This contract will enable EB's engineering and design team--comprised of more than 4,000 highly skilled individuals--to maintain and update design drawings and data for each Virginia class submarine."
