Legislation Fully Funds Virginia Class Submarine Construction, Ohio Replacement Program

WASHINGTON—After appearing with President Obama at Central Connecticut State University to promote an increase in the federal minimum wage, Congressman Joe Courtney noted that recent reports from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and the Center for American Progress indicate that raising the minimum wage would decrease federal spending
WASHINGTON—Citing state export data released today from the U.S. Department of Commerce showing a more than 3 percent increase in exports from 2012 to 2013, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) released the following statement:

Norwich—On Tuesday, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) joined Anne Evans, District Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce, to present an Export Award to MetFin, a Suffield, Connecticut, company that manufactures metal finishing systems. After seeking assistance from the Middletown District office of the Department of Commerce, MetFin was able to expand their export business to Canada, Spain, and Mexico.
