New London, CT--Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) released the following statement after participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the U.S. Navy Undersea Warfighting Development Center recently established at Submarine Base New London:
WASHINGTON—Today, the Connecticut delegation sent a letter to Lieutenant General Tom Bostick, Commanding General and Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in support of the recently-released Draft Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) and Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for Long Island Sound.
WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Joe Courtney (CT-2) announced that the University of Connecticut will receive a grant of $292,000 for the 2015-2016 school year to fund support services for first-generation and low-income students.
